FAQs – International Film Festival Delhi (IFFD)
IFFD is a flagship initiative envisioned under the Delhi Film Policy, aimed at positioning Delhi as a vibrant global hub for cinema, cultural exchange, and storytelling. Conceived as an international celebration of films and filmmaking, IFFD seeks to spotlight cinematic excellence while fostering meaningful cultural and industry collaboration across borders. Organised by the Delhi Tourism and Transport Development Corporation Ltd. (DTTDC) in association with the Government of Delhi, the festival is designed to elevate Delhi's profile on the global film map and contribute to the growth and diversification of the film and media ecosystem in the National Capital.
IFFD is scheduled to be held in the National Capital Territory of Delhi every year, in the spring-summer months. The main festival venue is Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan.
Bharat Mandapam is a world-class venue that is accessible-friendly for specially challenged cine enthusiasts. The venue is also conveniently located in Central Delhi, with easy connectivity.
IFFD is open to everyone who is associated with or passionate about cinema. Whether you are a filmmaker, producer, actor, industry professional, from the media, a delegate or a cinema enthusiast, IFFD welcomes you.
To register your Interest for IFFD, log onto the official IFFD website, navigate to the 'Registration' button, and choose your category from the scroll down menu. Post submission, you will receive an email notification once Registrations are officially open.
The following category options are available for registration: General Attendees: General public, individuals, families, students and any cinema enthusiast. Media: Verified journalists and influencers. Exhibitors: Those setting up display booths at the main festival venue Bharat Mandapam. Delegates: Filmmakers, Directors, Producers, Studio & OTT representatives, everyone related to the film and Media industry. Sponsors: Collaborators and organising partners.
No! Access to the opening and closing ceremonies are invitation based only. It is not a part of the registration benefits.
Yes! Students can register for IFFD under 'General Attendee' category. There is no separate category.
